Patient Guidelines

As a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic the need to care for our patients and their welfare has never been more important. We have worked hard to redesign our patient experience to welcome you back as safely as possible.

Every decision has been made with our patient’s and team’s welfare foremost in our minds. Things will look and feel different and understandably you may have some concerns. The information below explains our new patient experience.

As most of you will be aware, from 24th February the government are lifting COVID restrictions in England. Please be advised that this guidance does not apply to healthcare settings and by law, we are still required to follow the guidance set out by NHS England. This means you will be asked to complete questionnaires before appointments and required to wear masks in practice. Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.

Before your appointment

You will be asked to complete a screening form about your recent health. This will be sent to you via email if time allows, alternatively it will be completed over the phone with you 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Please note this form must be completed for your appointment to go ahead.

On the day

  • Check in with yourself - how do you feel? If you have symptoms of a cough, temperature, loss of taste or smell, fatigue or body aches, please stay at home. We can arrange a Telehealth appointment with you instead

  • Please come to your appointment on your own if at all possible

  • Please bring as few possessions with you as possible. Leave your coat, bag or umbrella in the car

  • Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. If you are early please wait in your car

  • We ask that you put your mask on prior to entering the building

Entering the practice and your appointment

  • There are hand sanitising stations at the bottom and top of the stairs as well as the usual hand washing facilities in the toilets. We ask that you please use one of these options prior to entering the waiting area

  • You will notice that the practice is clutter free to ensure that we are able to clean frequently and efficiently

  • Please note that due to the nature of osteopathy we are unable to maintain the usual social distance measures - so all our practitioners will be wearing PPE - glasses, masks, aprons and gloves

  • We are unable to accept cash at this time and ask that you pay by Apple Pay or Android pay wherever possible. Card payments can still be taken and card machines will be sanitised after each patient
